Vyntaris
Terms of Service
Effective October 22, 2026
These terms apply to the Vyntaris operating system, its apps and its optional features, including the Google Drive backup. By installing or using Vyntaris, you agree to them.
The software
Vyntaris is free to download, install and use. It's built on Arch Linux; the packages it installs from Arch Linux and elsewhere keep their own licenses.
Your data and your accounts
- Your files and settings stay on your computer, and are yours.
- When you connect a third-party service, such as Google Drive, you use it under that service's own terms, and you're responsible for your account there.
- The Google Drive backup copies only what you choose, to your own Drive. How it handles your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Backups and safe updates
Backups, snapshots and safe updates are there to help, but they can't guarantee that no data is ever lost. Keep more than one copy of anything important.
Acceptable use
Don't use Vyntaris's features to break the law or to abuse the services it connects to, such as by overloading them or getting around their limits.
No warranty
Vyntaris is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, its developers aren't liable for any damage or loss of data that comes from using it.
Changes
These terms may change. The new version is published on this page with a new effective date; continuing to use Vyntaris afterwards means you accept it.
